What is Kids Pottery Workshop?
At Creative hands, kids pottery workshop is a well organized and hands on program designed specifically for children ranging from between 5 and 14 years old. The camp offers an introduction to the art of pottery. It incorporates traditional hand building techniques as well as ceramic wheel classes with supervision of skilled, children friendly instructors.
Through the entire camp, kids can:
- Learn the fundamentals of clay and how to form the clay, mold it, and then sculpt it
- Have a go at using the clay wheel by spinning and shaping clay into bowls, cups, and more
- Discover new techniques such as pinch pots, slab construction, and coiling
- Learn about the art in the art of bisque by creating and glazing your pieces using bright, vivid hues
- Make beautiful, functional, and ornamental pottery to keep in your home
What's Included in the Camp?
Every Kids Pottery Workshop is thoughtfully designed to provide a fun and unforgettable experience. Each child will receive:
- The tools and clay needed for their work
- Utilization of our expert pottery wheel
- Kiln firing of all pieces that are finished
- Access to glazing and painting equipment
- Protective aprons
- Individual attention within small groups
- Certificate of Completion after the camp
- Ceramic creations that are finished and ready to display for you to take to your home.
Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Creative Hands Pottery Studio. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for attending our Kids pottery workshop. By booking a workshop on our studio, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms:
- Bookings for pottery workshops can be made by phone, by visiting our office directly, or through our website.
- Workshops are open to participants aged 4 and above unless otherwise specified.
- Clay Allocation: Each participant will receive approximately 600 grams of clay. Additional clay can be purchased separately if required.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before the workshop begins to ensure a smooth start.
- All materials and tools required for the workshop will be provided by Creative Hands Pottery Studio.
- The session will last 1.5 hours. Bisque painting must be done within 10 to 15 days. After the bisque painting is completed, the final product will be ready for collection after 15 to 20 days.
- Pottery items go through a high-temperature firing process, and there is always a natural risk of breakage, cracks, or imperfections. Creative Hands will not be held responsible for any damage, breakage, or defects that occur during the firing process, as this is a normal part of pottery production.
- Finished pottery pieces can be collected at the studio.
- Cancellations made 48 hours before the workshop: A full refund will be provided.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop are not eligible for a refund, but a one-time reschedule may be arranged.
- No-show: If you do not attend the workshop without prior notice, no refund will be granted.
- If Creative Hands Pottery Studio cancels a workshop, a refund will be provided after deducting any bank or transaction fees, or a rescheduling option will be offered.
- If the cancellation is done by our part, a full refund is provided, but if it is cancelled by you, the refund will be issued after deducting any bank or transaction fees.
- Participants are responsible for their personal belongings during the workshop.
