Ceramic clay
Our studio uses stoneware clay. It is well known for its durability and smooth, even surface. It is ideal for wheel throwing and is suitable to create functional pieces of pottery.
What to Bring
All you need is your imagination and a few people. We’ll take care of the rest from the clay to the cleanup. Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to be a bit filthy (and your hearts full).

What is the cost for a couple's wheel throwing session?
The price of a couple’s wheel throwing experience is 560 AED [AED 280 per person ] for a couple. This includes clay, the use of the pottery wheel, instruction assistance, glaze, and the firing of the kiln.
Are tools and materials included?
Yes. All necessary pottery tools, studio equipment, and materials are included in the session. You will also receive 600g of clay(per person) and glazing and kiln firing are included at no extra cost.
Are you having a private session or a group activity?
The experience can be scheduled as a private event or in a small group in accordance with your preference.
How do we schedule the Couple Wheel Throwing event?
You can reserve your session on the internet via our website or call Studio directly to book the time and date you prefer.
Why do pottery pieces need to dry for two weeks?
Every pottery is trimmed with care by our team. After being allowed to dry for about 10 – 15 days, in order to reduce the chance of cracking.
When the dry pieces are then subjected to a 7-hour bisque firing process at temperatures of 950°C and then a 24-hour cooling time, following cooling, every piece is cleaned, sanded, and then ready to be glazed.
The glazed pieces are fired in 12 hours at 1250°C. Then, after a 24-hour cooling time, the pottery will be ready to be collected.
Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Creative Hands Pottery Studio. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for attending our Couple Wheel Throwing. By booking a workshop on our studio, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms:
- Bookings for pottery workshops can be made by phone, by visiting our office directly, or through our website.
- Workshops are open to participants aged 4 and above unless otherwise specified.
- Clay Allocation: Each participant will receive approximately 600 grams of clay. Additional clay can be purchased separately if required.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before the workshop begins to ensure a smooth start.
- All materials and tools required for the workshop will be provided by Creative Hands Pottery Studio.
- The session will last 1.5 hours. Bisque painting must be done within 10 to 15 days. After the bisque painting is completed, the final product will be ready for collection after 15 to 20 days.
- Finished pottery pieces can be collected at the studio.
- Cancellations made 48 hours before the workshop: A full refund will be provided.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop are not eligible for a refund, but a one-time reschedule may be arranged.
- If you do not attend the workshop without prior notice, no refund will be granted.
- If Creative Hands Pottery Studio cancels a workshop, a refund will be provided after deducting any bank or transaction fees, or a rescheduling option will be offered.
- If the cancellation is done by our part, a full refund is provided, but if it is cancelled by you, the refund will be issued after deducting any bank or transaction fees.
- Participants are responsible for their personal belongings during the workshop.
